This document explains how to prevent documents from automatically opening when they are indexed from the in-tray into a storage location.
Step 1: Open the in-tray
Ensure you are viewing the in-tray where your documents are listed and ready to be indexed into their destination location.
Step 2: Locate the auto-open setting
In the in-tray window, look at the toolbar for the option labelled “Auto open on index”. This is typically presented as a checkbox or toggle control.
Step 3: Disable automatic opening on index
Clear (untick) the “Auto open on index” option. Once this option is unchecked, any document you index from the in-tray into its location will be indexed without automatically opening.
