This article describes how a Virtual Cabinet user can change their Default Intray view.
More Information:
In the latest version of Virtual Cabinet, by default, a new Users’ Intray view will show documents from every Intray that they have access to.
If you are a member of multiple groups, each with their own Intray, this can make the Intray view a bit busy if you want to focus on documents from your own Intray.
Whilst you can order / group your Intray documents, you can also change which Intray documents you will see when you log in by changing the default Intray view by following the steps below:
- Log in to Virtual Cabinet and click on the “Intray” tab.
- Then look for the Index/Intray/Pack Panel, by default, this is on the right hand side of the Virtual Cabinet window and click on the “Intrays” tab on the top of that Panel.

In the Panel you will now see a drop down list against your User.
The Option with the Symbol of a House is your “Home” view, this is the default view that includes your Intray, and any Group Intrays that you are a member of as mentioned earlier.
To change the default view to your own Intray only, right click on the icon with a single person next to your name, then click on “Set as default”.
You will now see that the small purple banner representing the default view is now next to your user, and this is the Intray view that will be loaded at first when you open Virtual Cabinet from now on.
