To assign a Portal Publishing Licence to an existing Virtual Cabinet User, follow the steps below:
- Firstly, the Portal Admin will need to launch Virtual Cabinet and go to the Admin tab.
- Under the “Portal” Section, click on the “View Publishers” option.
- This will open a “Publishers” window with a list of currently active Virtual Cabinet users.
(a) Scroll to the User that you want to assign a Portal Publishing Licence to, then click on the “Enable” box on that row.
(b) Type the User’s E-mail address into the now unlocked “Email address” field on that row.
(c) Click “Save & Close” to add the Publisher. Assuming that you have an available Portal Licence and are a Portal Administrator this will then send an automated activation e-mail to the address entered in Step B. The User just needs to follow the steps as per the activation e-mail, and then next time they log into Virtual Cabinet, they’ll find that they have the “Portal Publishing” ability.
Note: Being an Admin user in Virtual Cabinet does not automatically grant Portal Admin access. Portal Admin is a separate permission controlled by the VC Support team. To request Portal Admin access or transfer it to another user, please contact Virtual Cabinet Support.
