Summary: This article describes how to retract a document or pack of documents from the Virtual Cabinet Portal

Please note, you will need to be a Portal Publisher to perform this action.
There are two ways of doing this:
- Retracting a document or pack of documents using the Search Screen
- Retracting a document or pack of documents using the Portal Reports Screen
Retracting a document or pack of documents using the Search Screen
Start by performing a search within Virtual Cabinet and finding either the document or pack of documents you wish to retract.
Click on the Cloud Icon next to document in question, or one of the documents from the pack in question.
Please note if you have published a set of documents as a Pack, they can only be retracted as a pack, not individually.
In the window that opens, you will see a list of End-Users that the document(s) has/have been published to (A)
Click on the End-User that you wish to retract from, and the page will then show the following (B)
On this page, you can use the “Retract” button to Retract the Document(s) as required.
Retracting a document or pack of documents using the Portal Reports Screen
Start by going to the Reports Tab and Clicking on the “Portal” option
If you don’t have access to the Reports Tab / Portal option, either contact one of your Virtual Cabinet Administrator Users or ourselves to see about getting the permission added.
From here click on one of the Reports for “Action Status” or “Read Status” to show your currently Published documents
The following page will appear, from here you can right click on the document you wish to retract, then select “Portal Publishing”
In the window that opens, you will see a list of End-Users that the document(s) has/have been published to (A).
Click on the End-User that you wish to retract from, and the page will then show the following (B)
On this page, you can use the “Retract” button to Retract the Document(s) as required.
Please remember if you have published a set of documents as a Pack, they can only be retracted as a pack, not individually, so performing the retract action on a single document from a pack, will retract the whole pack.
