Getting Started and Logging In

Launching Virtual Cabinet

Double-click the Virtual Cabinet shortcut on your desktop, or navigate to it via the Windows Programs Menu.

First-Time Setup

The first time you open Virtual Cabinet, it will ask for a server address. Your administrator will provide this. Enter the address and click OK. If the server cannot be found, you will be prompted to try again.

Logging In

Enter your username and password when the login window appears. Your username is unique to you and your password is hidden as you type. Click Log In to continue.

On your first login, you may be asked if you want to associate your Virtual Cabinet account with your Windows login. Clicking Yes means your credentials will be entered automatically in future. Clicking No means you will be prompted each time.

Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

If 2FA has been enabled on your account, you will be prompted to set it up on first login.

  1. Download an authenticator app to your mobile device (for example Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Duo Mobile).
  2. Open the app and scan the QR code shown on screen.
  3. Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app into the Step 3 field.
  4. Click Complete.

Once set up, you will not need to enter a new code for 30 days. You cannot log in without completing this step if 2FA is enabled.
