The Settings Menu and Window Options

The Settings menu is accessed via the cog icon in the top-left corner of the Virtual Cabinet window.

Microsoft Office Addin

From here you can install or remove the Virtual Cabinet Office Addin, which adds Virtual Cabinet functionality into Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

User Settings

Reset Saved Column Positions resets any custom column ordering in search results back to the default. Reset Saved Window Layout Positions restores all docked panels to their default positions, useful if a panel has become lost or hidden. You may need to close and reopen Virtual Cabinet for these changes to take effect.

Enable Notifications (if available) shows a small pop-up in the corner of your screen whenever someone adds a document to your Intray. A red badge also appears on the Virtual Cabinet taskbar icon showing the count of unread documents and tasks.

Enable Automatic Login associates your Virtual Cabinet credentials with your Windows login so you are not prompted to log in each time.

Other Options

Minimize to System Tray hides the Virtual Cabinet window and places a small icon in the system tray. Click it to restore the window.

Window Always On Top keeps the Virtual Cabinet window visible above all other windows on your screen.

Change Password opens a window to update your password. Your new password must be at least 12 characters. Click OK to confirm or Cancel to close without saving.

About shows the version number of your currently installed Virtual Cabinet client.
