These tools are available throughout Virtual Cabinet via the ribbon or right-click menu on any document.
View Audit
View Audit shows a full history of everything that has happened to a document: when it was added, who has viewed or edited it, when it was indexed or reindexed, whether it has been published to the Portal, and any task or process history. If the document is a TIFF, you can also see the scan settings used for each page.
To open it, select a document and click View Audit in the ribbon, or right-click and choose View Audit.
Version History
Every time a document is edited and saved, a new version is created. Version History shows a list of all versions including who made the change, when, and any comments added on saving.
From the Version History window you can: revert to a previous version (this creates a new version that is a copy of the selected one), or destroy a specific version permanently (this cannot be undone).
To access it, right-click a document and choose Version History.
Notes
Notes let you attach short text comments to a document that can be seen by other users with the appropriate permissions.
To view or add notes, select a document and click Notes in the ribbon or right-click menu. From the Notes window you can add a new note, edit an existing one, delete a note, and sort notes newest or oldest first.
Reindexing
Reindexing lets you change the filing information for a document that is already stored in a Cabinet, for example to move it to a different cabinet or correct an index field value.
- Select the document in the Search tab.
- Click ReIndex in the ribbon or right-click and choose Reindex.
- Update the cabinet, section value, or index fields as needed.
- Save to apply the changes.
