Admin - Managing Groups

Groups let you manage multiple users collectively. A Group can have its own shared Intray visible to all members, and permissions can be set at the Group level rather than per user.

To access: Admin tab, Users and Groups section, Groups.

Creating a Group

Click Add and give the Group a Name. Under the General tab, tick Intray Enabled if you want the Group to have a shared Group Intray, and select the File Store for the Group's Intray. Use the Members tab to add users to the Group.

Groups cannot be restored once deleted. Delete with caution.

Copying a Group creates a new Group with all the same settings and members, except with a blank name for you to fill in. This is useful when creating similar groups.

Recommended Practice

Always assign tasks, processes, and permissions to Groups rather than individual users where possible. This makes it much simpler to manage access when staff change roles or leave, as you only need to update the Group membership rather than every individual setting.
