Notifications from the Virtual Cabinet Portal are sent when a published file hasn't been actioned. For single-file publishes this is straightforward, but publishes containing multiple files, or sent to multiple recipients, work a little differently.
How Portal notifications work
VC Portal notification emails are sent for the entire batch that was published, not for individual files or recipients.
How Portal notifications work
VC Portal notification emails are sent for the entire batch that was published, not for individual files or recipients.
- If 3 files are published to 3 recipients, all 3 files must be actioned by all 3 recipients before notifications stop.
- If 2 of those files require a signature and the third is for information only, all recipients must sign both files and read the information file to stop notifications.
- If even one recipient hasn't completed their part (e.g. hasn't read the information file), all recipients continue to receive notifications for the batch as a whole.
Can a recipient stop receiving notifications?
Yes. A recipient can use the Unsubscribe link in one of the notification emails to stop notifications for that batch only. They will still receive notifications for future batches. Notifications also stop once a batch has been retracted from the portal.
Where can I change the notification settings?
Only the portal admin for a site can change notification settings, via the Company Administration area of the Admin tab. From here, the number of notifications and the frequency they're sent can be adjusted, or notifications can be turned off entirely.
For example, a typical setup might have the frequency set to 1 Week with the number of notifications set to 4, resulting in a notification being sent each week for 4 weeks.
