This article explains what each event in the Virtual Cabinet audit log means. Audit events are visible in the document audit log.
Document Events
View - the document was opened and viewed by a user.
Edit - a user checked the document out of Virtual Cabinet for editing.
Save - a user saved a new version of the document back into Virtual Cabinet.
Discard - a user discarded their working copy, reverting to the previous version.
Insert initial version of document - the document was first added to Virtual Cabinet.
Document Duplicated - a copy of the document was created.
Document Destroyed - the document was permanently and irreversibly deleted from Virtual Cabinet.
Document Restored - a previously deleted document was restored.
Document Re-Index - the document's index information was changed.
Move - the document was moved to a different cabinet or folder location.
Return - the document was returned to Work in Progress.
Take - the document was taken from Work in Progress.
Auto - an automatic save or action was performed by the system.
Convert to PDF - the document was converted to PDF format.
Merge - the document was merged with one or more other documents.
Split - the document was split into separate documents.
Extract - a copy of the document was extracted out of Virtual Cabinet.
Print - the document was printed.
Email - the document was emailed from within Virtual Cabinet.
Original File Name Changed - the original file name of the document was changed.
Document saved to users intray - the document was saved directly to a user's intray.
Shortcut Created - a shortcut to the document was created.
Shortcut Deleted - a shortcut to the document was deleted.
Audit Log Viewed - a user viewed the audit log for this document.
Section Set - a section on a cabinet has been changed or the cabinet's name is changed. As this affects all documents filed under it, a Section Set entry is automatically added to each affected document's audit log.
Note Events
Note Created - a note was added to the document.
Pack Events
Pack added - the document was added to a document pack.
Added document to Pack - a document was added to this pack.
Removed document from Pack - a document was removed from this pack.
Removed document from deleted Pack - a document was removed from a pack that was subsequently deleted.
Pack edited - the pack details were changed.
Portal Events
Document Published - the document was published to the Virtual Cabinet Portal.
Document Queued for Publish - the document has been queued and is waiting to be published to the Portal.
Failed to publish document - an attempt to publish the document to the Portal failed.
Document Retracted - the document was retracted from the Portal.
Pack Published - a document pack was published to the Portal.
Failed to publish pack - an attempt to publish the pack to the Portal failed.
Pack Retracted - a document pack was retracted from the Portal.
Portal Delegate Publishing - the document was published on behalf of another publisher using publish delegation.
